Restrepo, winner of a Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury award, chronicles a year in the life of one platoon fighting in Afghanistan's deadliest valley, the Korengal. It's war as it really is; dirty, ugly, with occasional humorous moments.

A National Geographic film directed by Tim Hetherington and Sebastian Junger, the 94-minute film hit theaters June 25 to rave reviews garnering a 97 percent on the "Tomatometer," and a consensus that describes the film as "Forsaking narrative structure for pure visceral power, Restrepo plunges viewers into the experiences of soldiers on the front lines of the Afghan War."
