Marine Staff Sergeant Tricia McBride, from Wilmington, Delaware, is the first woman to graduate from the Marine Corps’ advisor training group program.

That challenge may seem small when she meets her students -- Afghan soldiers who aren’t yet used to seeing a woman leading a class. As part of her training she learned about Afghan etiquette and other challenges instructors face, and she’s ready for whatever reaction she gets.
