We’re bulking up down under.

The American military presence in Australia is bulking up, according to this Australian Broadcasting Corporation report on how the buildup affects the region.

According to the network, Marines will do six-month rotations in Australia from now on, and an air base on the continent could eventually be used to launch drone flights. The network also says there have been talks of a joint airbase on an Australian island.

The first rotation of American Marines will arrive in Australia next month.
