Kirsten Brunson

Army Lieutenant Colonel Kristen Brunson is a military judge at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She is married to a fellow soldier, Lieutenant Colonel Xavier Brunson, a battalion commander in the 82nd Airborne Division. Lieutenant Colonel Brunson gets her inspiration from Xavier, who she says not only leads effortlessly, but also used to shine her boots back in the good old days. Xavier's family has Army in its blood. His father, Albert, is a retired Sergeant Major and his brothers are both Army Officers. Lieutenant Colonel Kristen Brunson was a recipient of the 2008 Inspiring Women Essay Contest Award sponsored by the WNBA, Booz Allen Hamilton, and the USO. The contest recognizes women who inspire and motivate the lives of the women around them.
